Another night and another different bed, but after sitting up till midnight talking to some crazy French guy, seemed like I hardly slept and then had to get up.
Another different breakfast, boiled egg, instant coffee and a baguette and cheese. Got a Moto taxi to the Sierra Leone Embassy, but had asked to go to the Liberian Embassy.
Anyhow they told me I must get VOA and could not get it there and only $25 for SA passport holders.
Then got another moto taxi to the Liberian Embassy. So the place is empty, it's in a big house and the guy takes my $100 for the visa and then tells me if I pay an extra $50 I can get it later today. I tell him I don't have the money but need my passport today as I have other visas to get. He marches me outside and shows me on the notice board where it states $50 for express service. So I just sat with my head bowed in my hands and just waited, then he asked for $25. I told him I don't have $25.Then I moved to the seating area and sat there with my hands covering my face and he came over and asked for $10 and I told him " don't have the money" and he walked away.
Two minutes later he came back with my passport with a three month visa stamped in it. Go figure.
Embassy delivered my visa as
promised at 6pm to my Hotel.
Walked back to my place and then took apart my handlebars to get to the piece that needed welding and took it to the welder. He butchered it up, not what you always expect but oh well, for $10 what can you expect, but that's a lot of money over here. Took it back and fitted it all back together only to notice the welding had cracked so not sure how long it will last. Got some oil so will do an oil change tomorrow and visit Nigerian Embassy in the morning.
