Left a tad late, everyone was going to work and the traffic is chaotic, people drive and you better be awake, it's unreal. Anyhow got out of that mess and onto the toll road all the way down just before Marrakech it ended, about 200kms and then I bypassed Marakech towards the east. Headed south towards Ouarzazate over the Tizi ʼn Tichek Pass.
This was on one of the backroads I took and got a little off track but came across this village and the lady allowed me to take her photo. The place is in the middle of nowhere.
These guys yelled at me cause I went the wrong way. Then they offered me a 'Moroccan Whiskey' aka cup of tea.
When i reached Agouma I took a little side road and was lovely backroad through the mountains on dirt roads, got navigational issues which were for the better. Staying at Mohammad's house, he has a number of rooms that he rents out and it includes breakfast for 200 Dirham ($20).After I got unpacked and settled in my room I then walked to the Ait Benhaddou and watched the sunset from the top of the hill.
Aït Benhaddou (Arabic: آيت بن حدّو) is a historic ighrem or ksar (fortified village) along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakesh in Morocco. It is considered a great example of Moroccan earthen clay architecture and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.[1]
