Had a good night's sleep and feeling a little better and left at 9am after a French breakfast. Had no rain at all thankfully cause that would have sunk me.
Crossed into France on the Col de Petit-Saint-Bernard Pass to Seez. Then D902 to Col de 'Iseran at 2770 metres making it the highest pass in Europe and a 12% grade and 61km long. Continued on the Route des Grandes Alpes on D926 to D526 over Col de la Croix de Fer, 2068m 12% grade and 95 kms in length. Temperature got down to 3*C at the summit, bloody freezing but at least no rain or wind. Passed quite a few cyclists going up these passes and a lot of bikers but certainly not crowded.
Got to a small hotel in Oz , middle of nowhere and going to rest up and beat this cold.
