Rode 22km to the colorful mountain and the place was packed with people. Went to the camp kitchen but was full so had cereal at my bike and then departed. The rode out was rocky and bumpy , wish I had taken the rode I came in on. To see the mountain you needed to hike a ways, so didn't get to see it.
Rode down to the ring road 1 and then to the coast to Vic and it rained the last 30 minutes but the wind was howling again the entire way and battled it all the way, the worry is being blown off the road. Don't know how the cyclists do it in the wind and rain and the hills and the roads are narrow with no shoulder.
The camp at Vic is huge and packed. The small tents have their own section thankfully but the ablutions are good ,but they only have eight showers and ten toilets, not nearly enough.
