Only woke up at 10am, cabin has no window so it's pitch dark, barely made breakfast. Sat in lounge all day, was kinda nice just laying back and staring at the ocean for hours. Had dinner with the guys and went to bed.
DAY 103
Disembarked at 10:30 am and got ferry to Norway at 12:15 pm, could not find my ticket as I deleted a bunch of emails, was lucky as you don't have to produce it they had all my details, you don't even show a passport exiting Denmark or entering into Norway.
I went to some auto stores to find a filter but had no luck and then I was out of time so went to the campsite ( $42 ). Am bummed I can't find a fuel filter and it is leaking badly now and running onto my exhaust which is a reciepe for disaster. Had a huge thunderstorm and I was in my tent and saw a purple flash and almost shat myself it was so close and the thunderclap straight afterwards was like a cannon going off in my tent , a little bit of excitement.
LYSEBOTN DAY 104 245km.
Went back to find a filter and still no luck then went and got an oil change ( $125 ) at BMW and they could order me a filter and would take four days, they were so lame and unhelpful. Went to BilExtra auto store and the guy had a plastic filter which could work and he had some tape that was meant to work but did not.He came outside to check on me and saw my filter and said he could get one like it, I had shown him a picture of the filter at the beginning. Anyhow he got me the exact one I wanted, so that was such a relief I just could not believe it, had he not come out I would still be dilly dalling around for one.
So left at 11 am and went north on 9 and then west on 45 to Lysebotn. Was drizzling the entire way and had low clouds so could not see the mountains and then the 27 switch back pass into Lysebotn was in mist almost all the way down to the fjord. Nice campsite and facilities with the solid rock mountains towering straight up from the fjord so is quite a dramatic view from the tent.
