BORDER ISSUES AT GHANA CUSTOMS.
Had breakfast at 6:30am, yogurt and fruit with coffee and bread roll with jam, feels so good when you leave with a solid breakfast. The goals was to reach Tamale , 660kms, 11hrs.
It all ended at the border, got there at 10:30am and left at 4:15 pm.
Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 took some time which was my fault, I asked for exit stamp in my SA passport and same old story, not allowed, they made some phone calls but no go.
The guys were real friendly, had tea with them while I waited and then gave me a badge and then they all wanted a photo with me.
Crossed into Ghana and was no issue not having exit stamp in my SA passport. They processed me quickly and then I went to customs and should have known better. The main guy was on lunch so had to wait an hour. He got back and then told me the guy I need to see is at the Mosque so have to wait for him. After an hour I questioned him on where is the guy, then they got another guy to come in and help me and it took forever. Then the internet was down and then I was done and told them I was going to get a hotel and will come back in the morning and pick up the paperwork. They agreed and thought that would be best and it should be done by then.
Arrived in Wa, 135 kms later in the dark to a nice expensive hotel. Had chicken rice for dinner yet again, was not good but the room was decent and they had cold beer 650ml bottles.
