Got going early, but on the wrong road but turned out fine cause when I got back into town Orange was open and was able to buy a Sim card, 4.5GB and phone time for $8.
Was planning on getting to Conarky today because the hotel owner told me it could easily be done in a day. Looked on Google maps and was amazed at how far away it was. The first section of asphalt was okay and then things started to deteriorate in a hurry and it changed constantly, some dirt track then asphalt with major potholes then semi decent asphalt. Was another long day and was unable to find any food so didn't eat all day but did drink a few cups of water and stopped for an orange luckily. After my orange break I noticed the handlebars would only turn half way to the right and the on further inspection saw that the main bolt was totally loose. After tightening it I saw that on the other side of the unit had a crack, yesterday's fall may have played a part. Have no idea what to do and need to get to Conarky where I can hopefully find a solution.
Continued on cautiously keeping a hairy eyeball on it till I got to the lovely Africa Hotel ($23) and was able to take a nice cold shower.
