Rolled up the tent and packed my panniers and had a breakfast which is bread and jam with coffee, no juice or fruit anymore. Took about five hours down here and found the Oceanic Hotel which is an old French Colonial hotel built in 1926. Had a delicious fish lunch with a beer, what more do you need ?
Mark and I happen to be in Dakar at the same time, we have now met in Kenya, Oman, UAE, Baghdad and Cape Town.
He was heading down to SA last year this time on his bike but flew here to get a visa for Mali and Burkino Fassau, so was gret to see him again and suck his brain about the West Coast of Africa. We went to the Union Club for dinner which is upscale right on the ocean.
