Arrived just after noon and could only check into Central Hostel at three. Spent the rest of the afternoon in the old town.
Entering Latvia you just see the difference immediately from Estonia, they were not as successful as Estonia by the looks of it.
DAY 131 RIGA
Did two walking tours today o e on the history and the other about the Art Noveau buildings which there are many. Has a lot of history and been ruled by many, Russians, Germans, Nazi's etc and then finally became independent aging in 1991. It has many beautiful parks and a small canal around the old section with many century old trees and lush grass.
