Woke up to rain so got off to a late start and a bad one to boot. After 52kms the sign board showed me going south, so did an omkeer and went all the way back to Nemsos and N from there on the 17. Then missed my turn off and 32 kms later realized it and did another omkeer, so frustrating to lose all that time. Weather started out a little damp but ended up a beautiful day with dry roads. The route now is all on the coast going north so you have to take a lot of ferries so that makes it slow going but real scenic. There are over 12 000 island in Norway and I just can't see them all so am heading up to Lofoten at a good click, and when the weather is good you need to take advantage of it and ride like the devil.
Everyone is telling me to get to Nordkapp before the weather turns, so it will be a relief once I make it there, looking at the map last night and didn't realize how far up it is. I maybe almost halfway up now, but after Lofoten it is just ride and ride up there .
Tonight's camp is right by the harbour on some green wet grass, tomatoe soup was the meal of the night with one beer.
