LONDONDERRY BLOODY SUNDAY 1972 CASTLE ROCK TO SLEEPY HOLLOW CAMPSITE AT GAOTH DOBHAIR DAY 19 214km.

I got going at 7 am and took about thirty minutes into Londonderry where I had my bike washed. Then went to Free Town where the 1972 Bloody Sunday massacre took place and saw the memorial and street art about those dark days when the British opened fire on innocent people.

Then went to Fanad Head which is actually the start of  the Wild Atlantic Way  and then onto Sleepy Hollow Campsite where for the lasthalf hour was in the rain. My BMW riding suit is a piece of shit , the rain suite does not work, the zippers don't function anymore nor does the velcro stick , it's time. Anyhow got to the campsite nice and early ànd hung out my gear to dry and pitched my tent and stayed in my riding gear till bedtime which ended up being late. It is a real organized camp with a large covered area and the ablutions were the best so far and Ian the owner is quote a card. Ended up sitting with a German and Spanish couple and another German guy and an Englishman swopping stories all night, was most enjoyable hearing all these guys crazy stories, you just can't make up some of the shit they tell you.
